Discover the art of smile restoration with our expertly crafted dental crowns and bridges, tailored to meet your unique needs.
Dental crowns and bridges are two of the most reliable and time-tested solutions in restorative dentistry. A dental crown, often referred to as a “cap,” is a custom-made covering that fits over a damaged or decayed tooth, restoring its original shape, size, and function. It not only strengthens the tooth but also enhances its appearance, alignment, and overall dental health. A dental bridge, on the other hand, is designed to fill the gap left by one or more missing teeth. It comprises two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap, anchoring a false tooth or teeth in between. These false teeth, known as pontics, can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials.
Both crowns and bridges are fixed prosthetic devices, meaning they are cemented onto existing teeth or implants and can only be removed by a dentist. While crowns are used to entirely cover or “cap” a damaged tooth or an implant, bridges are employed to fill spaces where teeth once were, ensuring that the surrounding teeth remain in their correct position. Together, they offer a comprehensive solution to various dental issues, from damaged teeth to gaps in one’s smile, ensuring that individuals can chew, speak, and smile with confidence.
At Thomas Dentistry, we prioritize both the aesthetic appeal and longevity of our dental solutions. Porcelain crowns and bridges are often favored for their natural appearance, seamlessly blending with the rest of your teeth. Typically, with proper care, porcelain crowns and bridges can last between 10 to 15 years. Factors such as oral hygiene, dietary habits, and regular dental check-ups play a significant role in determining their lifespan.
On the other hand, metal crowns and bridges, made from materials like gold or base metal alloys, are known for their exceptional durability. While they might not offer the same aesthetic appeal as porcelain, they can often last upwards of 20 years or more. Their resilience especially stands out in areas of the mouth that undergo significant chewing pressure. At Thomas Dentistry, we’re dedicated to guiding our patients through these choices, ensuring they receive the best fit for their unique needs and preferences.
Embarking on the path to a restored smile with a crown or bridge at Thomas Dentistry is a streamlined process, designed with our patients’ convenience and well-being in mind. Typically, the journey involves two main appointments. During the first visit, our skilled dentists prepare the affected tooth or teeth, take precise impressions, and place a temporary crown or bridge. This ensures that the teeth are protected and functional while the permanent fixture is being crafted in a dental lab to our exact specifications.
The second appointment, usually a few weeks later, is when the magic truly happens. Your custom-made crown or bridge is ready to be placed. Our team will remove the temporary fixture, ensure the new crown or bridge fits perfectly, and then securely bond it in place. With the meticulous care and expertise of our Thomas Dentistry professionals, these two appointments can transform your dental health and aesthetics, giving you a reason to smile with confidence.

Happy Client from Kirkland Office“Best dentist I’ve ever been to. Not only are they prompt and quick but they walk you through your care clearly and explain the how’s and why’s. For once if feels like having an office that has a comprehensive plan for me rather than me checking a box every year. The hygienists are empowered to spend time with you and even book appointments with them right in the chair. Could not recommend more.”

Happy Client from Kirkland Office“I just recently transferred over to Thomas Dentistry and I’ve had two appointments so far, which I have had positive experiences with. The front desk is very friendly and accommodating, and they let you know about costs up front. I’ve had two different hygienists and they both have been good and thorough. I saw Dr. Jaswal both times and he has a very calm demeanor which puts you at ease. He also has a good sense of humor. Thomas Dentistry takes the unpleasantness out of going to the dentist!”

Happy Client from Kirkland Office“Went to that office last year to get a crown on implant and Dr. Thomas did the ugliest crown possible. Shape and height looked completely different from natural tooth I had in that place before. He did not even try to fix it. This year my new dentist confirmed that the crown should have been done completely different but now Im stuck with this crown for a while because it will cost a ton to re-do it since that is a dental implant crown, not just a regular crown. I guess I missed the first red flag when they said they do root canals and extractions too. Of course, why even going to roots canals specialists and oral surgeons if You can get a “buffet of services” at Dr. Thomas! Also Molly at the front desk is the rudest receptionist I ve even seen, billing office could not get the numbers right and overcharged me for about $800 then refunded but can this office be more unprofessional and thirsty for money?!!”
Nelda Pettit
Happy Client from Mercer Island Office“I have been a patient of Dr. Thomas since he began his practice. He is thorough in his exams, and professional in his treatments. He has done root canals, implants, and crowns for me, and the results have always been very good.”

Happy Client from Kirkland Office“Really enjoyed my experience here for a teeth whitening. The Kirkland location is great; it’s close to the freeway so it’s easy to find, and there was designated parking for patients. The staff (I’m talking from front desk to assistants to the doctor) were all very friendly and extremely efficient. I was talked through what they were doing so I felt at ease the entire time.”

Dr. Thomas has been my husband’s and my dentist for over 20 years and has done exceptional dental work. He makes his patients feel at ease with his caring, positive and fun personality. My grandchildren also see Dr. Thomas and he has an amazing way of helping them to feel comfortable and thus, cooperative. Dr. Thomas has the highest medical and ethical standards. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Thomas for any dental procedure.”

Happy Client from Kirkland Office“Such a wonderful dentist's office! The staff is always welcoming, efficient, and they do a great job with my oral care. The other day I had a tooth brush bristle stuck in between two of my teeth and needed to come in for a minute visit. They got me in that day and were able to remove the bristle. It was such a relief! Going to the dentist can somethings be uncomfortable, but at Thomas Dentistry I always feel taken care of.”

At Thomas Dentistry, we believe in the power of restorative dental treatments. Crowns and bridges, two of our cornerstone services, offer a myriad of benefits to our valued patients. These restorative treatments not only rejuvenate the aesthetics of one’s smile but also ensure the functional integrity of the teeth. By choosing our expertly crafted crowns and bridges, you’re investing in a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics, ensuring you can smile, speak, and eat with renewed confidence. Here are some of the key benefits of Crowns and Bridges.
In the world of dentistry, maintaining a radiant smile is more than just a cosmetic desire; it’s a testament to one’s overall health and well-being. At Thomas Dentistry, we often encounter patients seeking solutions for damaged, decayed, or missing teeth. Dental crowns and bridges emerge as two of the most effective treatments in such scenarios. Crowns, tailored to fit over a compromised tooth, not only restore its form and function but also offer protection against further damage. Bridges, adeptly filling the void left by absent teeth, ensure that the harmony and function of your dental arch remain uncompromised.
Choosing to invest in dental crowns and bridges is a decision rooted in both aesthetics and functionality. Beyond the evident cosmetic enhancement, these treatments play a pivotal role in preserving oral health, preventing potential issues like misalignment of surrounding teeth, bite problems, and even jawbone erosion. With Thomas Dentistry, you’re choosing a lifetime of confident smiles and optimal oral health.
